Anada Kishori devi dasi served at Bhaktivedanta Manor for many years, teaching children in Krishna club and looking after Volunteers as part of the VCC.
Dearest family, friends and well wishers,
Our dear mother, Ananda Kishori Devi Dasi, left her body peacefully this morning at 9.00am surrounded by family and devotees chanting the Holy Names sweetly in kirtan.
The atmosphere in the home was very peaceful, beautiful and spiritual.
The past few days have been filled with joyous kirtan that mum described as blissful and ecstatic, she was incredibly happy knowing Gopal is taking care of her every desire. Despite being unable to move and very weak, she was able to chant and sing along in kirtan, and at some points leading the kirtan- even up until yesterday. The kirtans were simply blissful and filled our hearts with such joy.
Up until her last moments, she was present to her shaligrams, asking for darshan of Them throughout the day and chanting “Jai Gopal!”, which would result in an uproar in kirtan. She was holding her beloved, heart-shaped Gopal Shaligram at the time of her departure.
Our dearest mother accepted her departure gracefully as she prepared to continue serving her beloved Gopal. We are extremely proud of her.
This day feels even more auspicious since it is Vyanjuli Mahadvadasi- the the disappearance day of not one, but three of our previous Goswamis – Srila Raghunatha das Goswami, Srila Raghunatha Bhatta Goswami and Srila Krishnadasa Kaviraja Goswami.
We want to express our deepest gratitude for all the prayers, blessings, cards, prasadam, chanting and affection shown to our mother and our family.
Hare Krsna! Jai Gopal!
Your grateful servants,
Nimish, Janaki, Jasmine, Nikhil, Gopinath and Vrajananda
